Bayern have no rival in Germany: sixth consecutive title

Bayern Munich:

Bayern Munich claimed the Bundesliga title for the sixth time in a row with five games remaining after beating Bayern Munich in the Augsburg derby on Saturday (1-4) with goals from Tolisso, James Rodríguez, Robben and Wagner.
The match had a development similar to the one that has had the whole season. Bayern started badly, reacted and then was intractable until achieving the win. He started losing, by an own goal from Niklas Süle in the 18th minute against a Augsburg that had left with the intention of annoying the leader with high and aggressive pressure.
The Bayern coach, Jupp Heynckes, had put the rotation machine to work and made seven changes with respect to the initial lineup last Tuesday against Sevilla. That could have contributed to some confusion at the beginning as Bayern took a long time to take the measure of the game. The minutes that Bayern was at a disadvantage were less than 15 and allowed to remember at the beginning of the season when there were reasons to think that the streak of titles was going to break.
When Heynckes came to the bench Bayern was five points behind the leader , had three games without a win and had fallen by a landslide to PSG in the Champions League (3-0) in a game that woke up in the heads of the Bavarian club apocalyptic fears. Then Heynckes returned to replace the deposed Carlo Ancelotti and things started to straighten up.

The impulse of Kimmich

This Saturday, despite the initial advantage of Augsburg, the situation did not invite drama. The title was a thing of this Saturday or a later day because the advantage was enough to not think about something else. However, Bayern suddenly started playing. In the first play worth mentioning, Joshua Kimmich put a ball in the head to Tolisso who tied the game. Then, again Kimmich center satin from the right, Juan Bernat extended the heel ball for James to define from the edge of the small area. In the second half, Robben, with a left-footed shot, and Wagner, with a head, increased the score.
Of the four goals three were marked by players who arrived at Bayern this season and the other, Robben, by one of those who have more years and more titles with the club. The final minutes, with the title already defined, were used by Heynckes to enter the field Thomas Müller , champion in the absence of Manuel Neuer, and Franck Ribery . Ribery completes his fifth title in the Bundesliga, thus equaling the record held by Oliver Kahn, Mehmet Scholl, Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Robben adds seven, the same as Thomas Müller.
At the end of the match Heynckes could not avoid some emotion and even tears in his eyes although already before the game he had banned excessive celebrations because, he said, there are still pending tasks in the German Cup and in the Champions League. On Wednesday, he expects the second leg against Sevilla in the top European club competition and Bayern, after the victory in the first leg, has opened the door of the semifinals.
